Hello everyone,
It has been busy a week as all classes have covered quite a few topics here are the highlights.
Home Ec 8A/8B
We continue to work on Kitchen basics with a focus on kitchen tools and now recipes. We will be discussing measurements and kitchen math next week followed by a lab where we learn how to cut vegetables.
Home 9A/9B
We continue to discuss textiles and the fibres that make up textiles. We will be doing tie dye soon so be sure to pay your $15.00 fee to the office ASAP!
PAA 10
We have been busy doing theory work and sewing samples. It has been very busy and we have been moving fast as we will be starting our sewing projects the first week of October.
Foods 30
We have wrapped up a review of Kitchen Basics and we are now learning about Fruits and Vegetables. We will be doing some home canning over the next week and we will make freezer jam and salsa.
Math 8.
From Factors, squares and square roots we are proceeding to Pythagorean Theory. Basic what is the distance of the hypotenuse of a right triangle. It has been good practice to draw triangle and calculate the distances.
For students who need extra help in any of my classes I can be found most lunch hours in my home ec lab. I also help with the after school homework club and an usually in the library 3:30 to 4:30 open Tuesday's.
